Redstar Gold Corp. (TSX.V:RGC) is a Vancouver based junior exploration company focused on high-grade gold exploration in North America.
In Alaska, the Company is exploring the district-scale high-grade 100% owned Unga Gold Project. The Unga Gold Project contains several high grade gold/silver vein systems, two of which. Apollo & Sitka were sites of historically reported high grade gold production. At Unga, a comprehensive exploration program was completed in the summer of 2014 and results were used to determine sites for a 8 hole, 1500m diamond drill hole program which was successfully completed in May of 2015. Assay results gathered from the borehole program showed some very high grade gold and silver intersections including 202g/t Au over 1.9m and 35.3g/t Au over 2m, which established continuity of the Shumagin Gold prospect at depth and along strike.
Redstar commenced a ~1,500 meter drill program at the Shumagin Gold Zone within the Unga Gold Project District in October 2016, and was completed in November 2016. Results increased the drilled strike length from 250m to 950m. The zone remains open along strike and at depth in all directions.
At the Newman-Todd Gold Project, which is located in the Red Lake Mining District of Northern Ontario, Redstar Gold Corp retains a 30% interest. A Joint Venture was established to carry out further exploration and development of the project with Confederation Minerals (TSCV: CFM).
Redstar Gold controls 2 board seats and approximately 19.5% of NV Gold Corp. (TSXV: NVX).
