Vancouver, B.C., June 11, 2007: Redstar Gold Corp (TSX-V:RGC), is focused on gold exploration in Nevada and Red Lake, Ontario, and is pleased to announce positive results from continuing work on its Nevada gold exploration projects. The mineralized structure at the Painted Hills project has been extended to over 5,000 feet through a recent geophysical survey, and drilling is currently testing widespread low grade gold mineralization and high grade gold veins at the North Bullfrog Project. As announced previously, International Tower Hill Mines, Ltd. (ITH) is earning 60% interest in North Bullfrog and Painted Hills (with an option to increase its interest to 70%) through work commitments and a series of payments over four years.

North Bullfrog Project
At the North Bullfrog project in southwestern Nevada, a first-phase, five-hole core drilling program is underway testing 3 key targets in the project area. North Bullfrog lies about 6 miles north of the Bullfrog mine, which produced approximately 2.3 million ounces of gold from several open pits between 1989 and 1999 and was operated by Barrick Gold Corporation. The nearly five square-mile property position at North Bullfrog contains widepread, volcanic-hosted low-grade gold mineralization and local high-grade veins and stockwork zones that are very similar to the mineralization at the Bullfrog mine to the south. The current drilling program is targeting both mineralization types.
At the Sierra Blanca target, two holes are underway testing disseminated gold mineralization within silicified volcanic rocks. Surface rock values reach 1.5 g/t Au (0.044 ounces per short ton [opt]) and previous drilling encountered near surface, widespread low-grade gold, including 0.014 opt Au over 150 feet, 0.014 opt over 115 feet and 0.058 opt over 50 feet. The previous drilling did not adequately test for fault-hosted vein-style mineralization, and the low-grade mineralization remains open. Current drilling will focus on the near surface low grade mineralization but will also test for high grade fault hosted gold mineralization.
Drilling will also be conducted in the vicinity of the historic Pioneer Mine about 8,000 feet to the southeast of Sierra Blanca. Three holes are planned to test within and below the historic Pioneer mine workings. Volcanic-hosted mineralization at Pioneer is open along strike and below 400 feet, and a significant portion of the known shallow mineralization was not mined. Channel sampling of underground workings has returned 0.037 opt over 110 feet and 0.166 opt over 25 feet (high of 0.371) and previous shallow drilling intersected significant mineralization, including 0.090 opt over 30 feet containing 0.412 opt over 5 feet; and 0.074 opt over 40 feet containing 0.113 opt over 10 feet and 0.126 over 10 feet.
One hole is also planned for the Savage target, (east of the Pioneer Mine) where surface samples reach 1.1 g/t Au (0.032 opt) in quartzite and shale underlying the volcanic rocks. Consistent low-grade mineralization occurs across a width of 1,200 feet straddling a northeast-trending structure.
Results from this drill program will be announced when received.
Painted Hills Project
At the Painted Hills project in northwestern Nevada, a recently-completed CSAMT geophysical survey and additional field work have extended the vein structure about 1,000 feet to the south. The geophysical survey has identified several concealed faults outboard of the range front which represent new exploration targets. The strike-length of the vein and alteration system is at least 5,000 feet and the upcoming drill program will be the first ever drill program to test this epithermal system.
Painted Hills exposes the upper parts of a volcanic-hosted epithermal vein system. This vein system has important geologic similarities to multi-million ounce, high-grade gold deposits of the northwestern Great Basin that contain bonanza-grade veins, notably Sleeper (approx. 2.5 Moz) and Midas (Ken Snyder mine; approx. 3Moz @ 1.1 ounces per ton Au), and offers the potential for discovery of a similar high-grade vein system. Shallow features at Painted Hills include a mercury-bearing opal-chalcedony vein zone 325 feet wide and surrounding kaolinite-opal alteration. The exploration model envisions high-grade veins at depth at the boiling level beneath such gold-poor, mercury-rich opaline alteration. Supporting the model is anomalous gold to 0.107 ppm in pyritic chalcedonic silicification, a relatively higher-temperature alteration, while gold is absent in the opal veins exposed at the highest levels. Further, the opal veins contain multiple-banded crustiform textures consistent with episodic boiling in epithermal systems. In addition to gold and Hg, there are strong enrichments in Sb, As and Mo. This exploration model has been proven in several districts in Nevada where gold deposits underlie gold-poor or gold-absent opaline zones. The Painted Hills veins and alteration are exposed along a range-front fault, and portions of the system may by concealed by alluvium in the adjacent valley. This range-front setting is a favorable geologic environment similar to the Sleeper deposit.
Redstar is continuing its efforts to develop additional projects in Nevada using the database acquired through its alliance with AngloGold-Ashanti. Redstar's Nevada exploration programs are under the direction of Dr. Jacob Margolis, Exploration Manager -- US a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
